I am still living out of boxes. Jimmy and I are the worst movers ever. But he went home yesterday to visit his family. On the way from dropping him off and being alone for the first time in a few weeks…
I finally realized how happy I am now. This place is wonderful. I miss all the people from Florida, but none of the places. It’s amazing how instrumental the place where you live is in how happy you are. I used to go through 2-3 tank fulls of gas a week getting around Orlando just to see the people I cared about. I’ve had one tank for 2 weeks now. Everything is so close here. Beyond that, everything is just more beautiful.
I can’t wait to go up to the mountains. I’m not sure when I’ll have time. I’m the busiest I’ve ever been. For the first time in my life though, I can really say what I’m learning is valuable and I can enjoy working hard for my classes.
I really can’t wait to go visit Orlando in July, but I have to say… finally… this is my new home.

So grad school is fucking intense. I knew it would be hard, but this is crazy. I get up at 7:30 every day, in class 9-4:15. It’s not like undergrad where I could tune out and BS my way through it. As mentally taxing as it is, I love it so far because it is really teaching me how to handle being busy, which is something undergrad never did… because I was never really busy except for finals week. Looking forward to the challenge, and I’m so ready for this 3 day weekend.
